The Vic Hotel Perth sold for over $5 million to a local Perth operator by Ryan McGinnity and Aaron Desange of CBRE Hotels.
The Vic Hotel in Subiaco has sold with vacant possession last Friday to a local Perth operator, The Ogden family, for just over $5 million.
The Ogden family currently own and operate the Windsor Hotel in South Perth and are owners of many historical venues.
CBRE Hotels’ Ryan McGinnity and Aaron Desange were appointed to sell the iconic hotel, which was first opened in 1898.
Ryan McGinnity of CBRE Hotels told WILLIAMS MEDIA "the Vic Hotel suits their model and we expect an extensive renovation to commence likely in the new year and looking to be open by mid year."
"Subiaco is going through somewhat of a resurgence at the moment with the opening of the recently refurbished Subiaco Hotel last week" said Mr McGinnity. The Subi was sold last year to pub owners Dave Allan and Lawson Douglas.
The Vic Hotel is a well-known venue at the heart of Subiaco’s dining and retail precinct - thriving until the football and other events moved from Subiaco Oval at the end of 2017.
“The Vic Hotel has been part of the fabric of Subiaco for more than 120 years.”
Mr Desange commented: “With the hotel situated on a large land area zoned for commercial and residential use, the opportunity also exists for a mixed-use development at some stage in the future – appealing to a number of local investors and developers.”
