Carl Taranto appointed as new Area General Manager of Crystalbrook Vincent, Brisbane and Crystalbrook Byron, Byron Bay
Staying within Crystalbrook Collection, Taranto moves from General Manager of Newcastle’s Crystalbrook Kingsley hotel to take on the role of Area General Manager of Crystalbrook Vincent in Brisbane and Crystalbrook Byron in Byron Bay. Taranto brings with him a deep understanding of Crystalbrook, having joined the group in 2018 as Director of Rooms at Crystalbrook Riley in Cairns, before going on to become General Manager of Cairns’ Crystalbrook Bailey, and following this, General Manager of Crystalbrook Kingsley.
Prior to joining Crystalbrook Collection, Taranto established himself as an accomplished hotelier with over 20 years’ experience in the industry, holding various leadership roles across luxury hotel groups including Marriott and Sofitel. Taranto commenced in the role in January 2023.
Josquin Crepelliere appointed as General Manager of Crystalbrook Kingsley, Newcastle
Originally from France, Crepelliere has over 13 years’ experience working internationally in the hospitality industry, spanning from Gambia to Fiji. Over the last five years, Crepelliere has worked in leadership roles within luxury Sydney hotels, including Sheraton Grand Sydney Hyde Park, Pier One Sydney Harbour, and most recently, Sydney Harbour Marriott Circular Quay. Crepelliere is an experienced leader with a passion for innovation and delivering outstanding guest experiences. Crepelliere commenced in the role in late 2022.
Emma Alcorn appointed as General Manager of Crystalbrook Byron, Byron Bay
Alcorn also moves from within the group, relocating from Sydney’s Crystalbrook Albion where she has been General Manager since 2021, to become General Manager of Crystalbrook Byron. With over a decade working in management roles at some of Australia’s most prestigious hotels and resorts, including One & Only Wolgan Valley and Spicers Tamarind Retreat & Spa, Alcorn brings a deep understanding of the luxury and boutique market to this much-loved resort. Alcorn commenced in the role in February 2023.
