Just south of the Perth CBD, Ryan McGinnity of CBRE Hotels and Andrew Langsford of JLL Hotels and Hospitality Group offer for sale the Sebel Hotel Mandurah.
The Sebel Mandurah, a prime 4.5 star waterfront hotel in Perth’s southern suburbs, is being offered for sale together with the opportunity to acquire the ground floor freehold of The Peninsula Bar & Restaurant.
CBRE Hotels, in conjunction with JLL Hotels and Hospitality Group, have been appointed to offer the asset via an Expressions of Interest campaign on behalf of the owners.
Operated by AccorHotels - Asia Pacific’s largest hotel operator - the 84 key hotel forms part of a larger mixed use development, comprising three multi-level towers accommodating more than 100 luxury residential apartments with outstanding views over the canals, marina and the Indian Ocean.
Situated in Mandurah, the hotel is less than an hour from Perth CBD or Airport, and easily accessible via the Kwinana Freeway or Perth’s public transport network.
CBRE Hotels Director Ryan McGinnity commented on the sale: “The opportunity to acquire a modern, established and well-located hotel such as The Sebel Mandurah is likely to attract strong interest from a diverse buyer pool.
“With Mandurah now considered a suburb of Perth, The Sebel Mandurah presents a very attractive investment in the Western Australian hotel landscape.”
Located within close proximity to numerous bars and restaurants, and with the comfort of modern rooms with expansive views, The Sebel Mandurah achieves one of the highest occupancy and average daily rates of all competing hotels in the region.
“We expect occupancy to continue to grow in the future as WA hotels start to reap the benefits of new international travel routes to Perth, as well as the expected 66,000 additional annual visitors to the new Perth Stadium, which is due for completion in early 2018,” Mr McGinnity added.
JLL Hotels and Hospitality Vice President Andrew Langsford highlighted the hotel’s potential for future growth.
“Positioned as the leading full service hotel in the region it is well placed to capture demand from a broad range of drivers, including continued investment in tourism and recovery of surrounding resource led activity,” Mr Langsford said.
“Investors have the chance to secure an established asset in a high quality precinct, at an opportune point in the investment cycle.”
Expressions of Interest close Thursday, 13 April, 2017.
