Pullman Brisbane King George Square is thrilled to introduce their newly appointed GM, Dominic ‘Nic’ O’Donnell, to the team. With over 20 years of experience in the hospitality and tourism fields worldwide, O’Donnell is renowned for driving innovation and leading transformative initiatives whilst fostering a culture of excellence and guest satisfaction.
Alongside the successful completion of his Entrepreneur leadership program, O’Donnell holds a Certificate Series in Executive Leadership, Crisis Communication Management, CRASE (Cornell Restaurant Administration Simulation), CHESS (Competitive Hospitality Education Simulation) and a Bachelor of Business.
Prior to joining the team, O’Donnell was involved with premier Australian hotel names including Pacific International Hotel Cairns, Shangri-La Hotel the Marina Cairns, and the Novotel Sunshine Coast Resort. Throughout this time, he successfully implemented solutions for operational efficiencies, cultivated strong partnerships with local businesses/tourism boards, orchestrated market expansion strategies and developed high-performance team cultures through mentorship programs and comprehensive training initiatives. As well as statewide, O’Donnell has gained international experience working within renowned establishments such as; Traders Hotel, China and Shangri-La’s Rasa Risa Resort, Malaysia, where he led resort operations, spearheaded sustainability initiatives and developed long-term strategic plans for resort expansion, to name a few.
Alongside his unparalleled experience and unwavering level of energy, drive and determination, O’Donnell looks forward to driving further positive change and growth for the hotel, whilst continuing to maintain its reputation as a leader within the hospitality industry.
