The Great Western Hotel in the Rockhampton suburb of Allenstown is for sale through Neale Crow of Knight Frank.
The reins of an iconic Rockhampton entertainment icon are set to be handed over, with the announcement that The Great Western Hotel is available for sale.
Established in 1862, the venue at 33 - 37 Stanley Street, Allenstown is renowned for attracting major events to the region, including bull riding and headline music acts.
More than $1.5 million has been spent across the past six years to upgrade the facilities at the hotel, which consists of four bars, a beer garden, air-conditioned gaming room, keno, pool table, restaurant area, mechanical bull and a large undercover entertainment arena spanning 2200 square metres.
